Ben took Lindsey up to Scituate (si t- u - ut) where he grew up. Tthough it had been raining all day and Ben did feign wishy-washiness about driving up in the rain, they made it. The rain cleared up as they were driving out and Ben showed her his old house and took her up to the Scituate lighthouse. Once they were at the lighthouse, Lindsey said that she really wanted to walk out onto the jetty. Ben seemingly reluctantly agreed to go out with her onto the jetty but they climbed over the rocks and out. Once on the jetty they found a suitable rock and sat upon it just talking and looking out at the ocean. It started to rain a bit so they decided to go in. They stood up and stepped a little further out onto the jetty. At this point Ben turned to Lindsey and said, "There are three main reasons that I wanted to take you out here". 1. I have always thought of this as my special place. I used to come out here when I was a kid and thought I was the only one who knew about it. I've never wanted to share this spot with anyone until now. 2. This light house is called lover's lighthouse. Each lighthouse has a code to help ships identify their location. Each lighthouse's is different and this one blinks out I love you. 3. This is the site of one of the most important events in my life. Then Ben got down on one knee and said: "Will you marry me?" Ben would rather we stopped the story at this point, but we'll keep going. Lindsey opened her mouth to answer him and he (remember we're out on a slippery jetty) began to slip a little and said, "Hurry up and say yes before I slip." Lindsey said, "Of course I'll marry you!" He stood up and handed her the box which she opened and took out the ring which he put it on her finger. then they were engaged....

5 days ago I graduated from college...soo weird.

I've never felt this feeling of just having no idea what the next thing will be. But I'm not going to rush into anything. The break is a good thing, and I just keep believing that there is a great job opportunity waiting for me.

I have decided to scrap my efforts of finding a job for after graduation and move to Wyoming to work on a cattle ranch. I know it sounds far fetched, but the cattle industry is quite a lucrative business. It will be hard at first, adjusting to living with the cowboys and ranchers, but I think I will make friends fast. I've picked a ranch at the edge of Sheridan, WY. The pay is good and the benefit package is a good one. I'm glad that I have a plan now. Stress is a thing of the past. Now I can relax and enjoy my last few weeks of college!

SO I just saw "Glory Road" tonight and it is fantastic. I highly reccomend everyone go see it; even my mom (who knows nothing about basketball really enjoyed it)

This was a really nice week with Jersey friends...and my interview went really well. Now I wait and see. 4-6 weeks they said. I don't even know if I want to do it...but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

One more week in Boston, and then back to Jersey...I guess I should think about trying to organize stuff...maybe tomorrow.

SO I'm actually updating...hold your applause please. I just got back from a Rolling Stones Concert...WOW!!! They are such an icredible group of performers. The way they work the crowd and all was inspiring. Anyway, I'm really going to make an effort to update this more. (I know I've said that before, but this time I mean it.) I mean, if Michael is updatig more then me...wow, do I have a problem. I'm heading down to Jersey on Tuesday to do an interview, and have a meeting with a special events planner. Plus I get to see Lindsey and Jessie and Ben and Emily and Felicia and I'm really excited! Ok, thats all for tonight, but expect more of these fun entries!

Hey everyone,

Happy Rent opening day. I want to ask you all to take some time today to remember Mr. Larson and think about his needless death. Jonathan's death from an aortic Anyereusm, believed to be caused by Marfan Syndrome, could have been prevented if doctors in the hospitals he visited had known about the condition.

As a young man, who also has Marfans, Jonathan's words and music and life are an inspiration to me, as I know they are for many others. so its over. Except for strike Anne Frank has come to an end. Tonight was really emotional, and really ppwerful for me. I'm so proud of everyone involved in this show, and so grateful to everyone who came to see it. We went out on a high note with a huge standing ovation, and a good PPD. I am so lucky that I had such a wonderful and talented group around me to help my dream come true. I am eternally grateful to each and every one of you. This show made me think that I amy want to pursue directing when I graduate. WE'll have to see what kinds of pportunities exist out there. But thank you, and I hope it was a very enjoyable night of theatre for everyone who went.

So it's officailly the day of opening night. It is so weird. I'm really happy with how the show is, and am so proud of everyone, and how hard everyone is working. I realy love this play, and this story and I think we are doing it justice. I absolutly adore this play, and it just feels so weird that we are opening tonight. I've dreamed of doing this play for so long, and to be on the threshhold of opening...wow.

The essay I was asked to write about being a Jewish Man directing this play has been published in the Acorn, in the Madison Eagle (as the lead editorial) and in the Independent Free Press. I'm really proud of what I wrote, and...I don't know, I'm really happy with this whole experience. Now we just hope that people like it.

Thank you to everyone who worked and helped to make this show a reality. I admire you all, and will forever be grateful.

I'll give more details later, but sufficive to senior year has started off really well. OC was amazing (I totally lost it at the last meeting) and subsequent events have been so memorable and wonderful. I feel like I'm geting close to new people, and closer to others, which I love.

Anne Frank is going really well. I think everyone is having fun, and I think we are putting together one heck of a show.

The hardest thing is Lindsey not being across the hall. But I think we are doing well, and I can't wait to see her again!

So I'm sitting at work, and really bored, so I'm writing. This is my third to last day here, and I will miss the people here. They've invited me to come back and help out during any vacations, which is really really nice. Overall it's been a really good summer. I can't beleive I'm going back to school in a little over a week. Crazy.
but I'm really looking forward to a lot about this year. It's going to be really different, no question about it. But different can be good. It's odd, cause I feel like I'm saying bye to Drew in stages.

But like I said I have a lot I'm really excited about. Really I have no idea what the point of this post is.

OH1 I saw Matisse last night, it was great. And I'm seeing vera again soon, and maybe Athena tomorrrow night, and emily tonight. If I get really bored tomorrow or Thursday, I might do a summer recap post at some point.

Its not that I hate this job, it's just that in the mornings, I'll all by myself, and it gets a bit tedious. Once other people start coming in around 12:30 or so, it livens up a bit, but now...eh.

I bought so many new shirts this weekend! And they were cheap and everything. Go me!! Ok, Im gonna go now, and work on the Anne Frank schedule so Taylor doesn't kill me, and all. I love having Taylor as my SM. I really love the whole team...I'm so excited to get into rehearsals. Ok, bye for now.

I almost forgot to write about one of the best parts of the conference. So at the final lunch, the director of the National MArfan Foundation gets up on stage, and says that they have a special treat for us. As some of you know, the writer of "Rent" Jonathan Larson died of an Aortic Anyeuseum casued by Marfan Syndrome the night before the first performance of Rent. This after complaining of chest pain, and being sent home by two NYC emergency rooms. since his death his family has been devoted to working with the NMF to help raise awareness about MArfans.

So, the studio that is doing the Rent movie released to the NMF a 20 minute video of clips and songs from the movie, that are not available to the public. It was amazing!!!I think I'm going to do something about Marfan awareness at Drew, in cnnection with the movie. Gota come up with h to do it tho.

SOI just got back from the National Marfan Conference, which was in St. Louis this year. It was a really special three days, and I met some really awesome and inspiring people.

Friday:
I landed at 8 AM central time, and got to the hotel. On the way to the hotel we drove by the arch, which made me so happy. I don't know why, but I love seeing those dumb landmarks, but I do. After I checked in, I hung out in my room for a bit. Looking out the window of my room was Busch Stadium, which was so cool.

Anyway, around 1PM I met Amanda and she took me to University City, which was a lot of fun. It was really nice to get out of the hotel, and to see her. After that, I came back to the hotel, and met the other teen group leaders (for those of you who don't know, I was asked this year to be a mentor for the teen group) We had a speaker, and then went to the Cardinals-Braves game. Baseball is huge in St. Louis, and I made sure to remind a few of the fans I talked to, that the Red Sox won last year:) It was a fun game though, and a chance to see at least two future Hall-of-Famers (Smoltz and Pujouls sp.) After the game, I went back to my room, and promptly fell asleep in my clothes.

Saturday:
In the morning, we had some workshops, and then went on a day trip out in St. Louis. First the whole teen group went to University City, but all the shops were closed. We all had lunch at Blueberry Hill, which I guess is a famous burger joint. AFter lunch we got back on the buses, and went out to something called the St.Louis Mills, which is basically a huge mall/mini golf (outdoor and glow in the dark) go carts, laser tag etc. thing. I played Go carts and was awful, and laser tag ( I won). It was a lot of fun and a good chance for me to get to know some of the other people there.

When we got back to the hotel I did a workshop for the teens, where I talked to them all about my story and my life. I think it really made an impact on some of the teens. Afterwards, several of them came up to me, and asked me for advice, or wanted to tell me their story. It was a very powerful moment for me. Then after that, we did a focus group on the new teen booklet that I wrote, and they loved it!! We got really good feedback, but overall it was a really positive response, which I was so happy about cause I worked really hard on it.

Then we had Kareoke night, which I snuck out of, but not before I got talked into singing Britney Spears "Oops, I did it again." Then my mommy got there, and we had a really nice dinner Then I got talked into going out line dancing with a couple people I met at confreence. I could write an entire entry all about going line dancing...needles to say I tried to do it, it didn't work out. I'm really glad I tried though. It was a crazy time. They went from line dancing to grinding, to everyone stopping and watching the new Jessica Simpson video "These Shoes were made for walking". It was a crazy fun night.

Sunday:
We got up early, had some more workshops, then the final lunch session and then we left. Before the lunch my mom and I had a bunch of pictures taken of us together by this photographer who is working ona positive exposure campaign that sounds amazing. The guy is amazing, and it was a lot of fun. After the pictures we were interviewed on camera for part of his project.

Overall, it was a really awesome experience and I'm already looking forward to next year in Philly.

Lindsey just yelled at me to update more, so I'm updating. She made me a new lj icon. I'm going to start using it soon. It's funny. Hmm...so what can I say...OH! So one of the movies I'm in, is apparently premiering at a film festival in Stolkholm, and then being shown in Portland Oregon too. I'll tell you all details when I know them.

So Lindsey is coming up here this week, and we're going to Provincetown, which is happy. But even happier is that I'm taking her to her first ever Red Sox game!!! When we first started dating, I don't think I ever thought it would get to this:) BUT IT DID!!! I have no idea what I'm trying to say...oh well

I need to go to sleep...one more day of filming tomorrow. My creepy, crazy, stoned wizard will be retired after tomorrow (wait till you see the pictures they took of me...As one of the actresses said "You were naughty wizard at times, and just plain creepy qizard at other times) Good times
